As someone who worked in documentary production before moving to tech, I have experience exploring social problems, interviewing, and putting the needs of end users first. As a Product Manager, I strive to find ways that technology can remove obstacles, save time, expose information, and make an impact on real world problems: whether students not meeting benchmarks for literacy, human-caused threats to elephants and sea turtles, or major suppliers with recruiting practices that involve forced labor.

I have a Master’s Degree in HCI (interaction design) from NYU and a background in UX. Through user interviews, onsite observations, and usability testing, I strive to build useful tools that broaden access to information and resources.

Product Manager

I’m an architect for digital things. I collaborate with engineers, product designers, and stakeholders to strategize what and how to build. I’m also an interpreter. I speak the language of each discipline I work with so that I can gather requirements, synthesize ideas, and drive team consensus. As a former project manager, I’m committed to process, quality, and delivery. I also think ahead to avoid risk and highlight dependencies. My past work as a UX designer informs my curiosity about how products are used in the real world and how accessible they are regardless of first language spoken, age, or ability.

ESOL & Digital Literacy Instructor

Trained in the Communicative Language Teaching Approach, my classes focus on student-centered, interactive learning.  My speciality is bringing technology into the classroom to support students' independent and project-based learning. This includes recommending apps to students for studying and sharing research on what learning strategies work best and why. I work with students to practice navigating relevant online systems and building digital skills relevant to their work and day-to-day needs.
